JUSTYN MICHAEL ZOLLI : Sacred & Liturgical Arts

Artist Statement:

”I am a visual artist, a painter and designer, a conservator of religious art, and a scholar of aesthetics. My work in the Sacred Arts includes many disciplines: painting, icons, design, commissioned murals for painted walls, and architectural stained-glass. Within these various and diverse mediums, I express a love and interest in the unifying and transforming qualities of light, color, geometric structure, and the history of Christian art while also striving to communicate the deeper theological meaning of the Christian faith.

In support of my work, I have undertaken extensive art-historical research involving the study of art and architecture traditions of Christendom. This has included my appointments working in many high museums of art and history; graduate academic studies with the Dominican Order; and international travel tours to study many of the world’s greatest church and monastic architecture.

Ultimately, I strive to make all my various individual efforts and activities in the Visual Arts, and in my life itself, a true offering to others of visual beauty, radiance, unity, harmony, and peace, in humble service to God"
