EVENT: Artist Talk
Please join me for my Artist Talk on Weds July 9th hosted by Art Forum SF, and sponsored by the GTU’s Center for Art & Religion. I will be discussing my work, and the idea of ‘Art-Making as a Spiritual Discipline,’ including the challenges that today’s artists of faith face in navigating the contemporary art world, and how artists can “re-enchant” a disenchanted culture through their creative and religious practice. I will show a small selection of paintings, and there will be fellowship afterwards. Please join me if you can!

Recently I have been invited to teach Guest Artist workshops to the students of Nativity High School, a new classical Catholic high school that has opened up here in San Francisco. It was a great experience, and I will return each month to give another lesson.
We are also planning on taking the students to the Legion of Honor art museum for a tour of the collection.

I co-curated the current exhibit, titled 'TREE OF LIFE:The Crucifix, Embodiment, and Material Culture' on view at Blackfriars Art Gallery, Dominican School of Philosophy & Theology, Berkeley, CA.
The exhibit draws from the permanent collection of varied historic Christian art at DSPT to explore the connection between The Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden and the Cross of Jesus as parallel iconographic symbols.
